Hall of Famer, Michael Irvin
Michael Jerome Irvin was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is the 15th of 17 siblings. He attended Piper High School and launched his football career at St. Aquinas High School.
Michael was recruited by the University of Miami and, under coach Jimmy Johnson, he set several school records for career receptions, receiving yards and touchdown receptions. He was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
Michael went on to join the Dallas Cowboys, where he earned three Super Bowl victories and, ultimately, was recognized with the highest football honor - induction into the Hall of Fame.
Michael is currently an analyst on the NFL Network.
Michael understands that you must dedicate your best effort - you must perfectly execute - to be a Playmaker. And, you must have the right team. Michael is excited to pull together the right team to form The Playmakers Academy.
Serving as a coach for the academies, Michael is on the field every day motivating the young players.
With The Playmaker Academies and the Playmaker brand, Michael has joined with the right teammates to ensure we build a championship experience - something Michael has done at all levels.
Developing, launching, and strategically building businesses is the common thread tying together Tom’s 20+ years of professional work.
Combining his legal background gained while practicing law with his business experiences of running operations for a national business as well as launching several independent businesses, Tom has a unique education beyond formal training, working with start-up businesses and directing an innovation, entrepreneur, and business resource center.
These experiences complement Michael's strengths to build the team to perfectly execute The Playmakers Academy
Chadd Braine is an integral part of the Warriors’ coaching staff serving as defensive coordinator. Braine is a 1999 graduate of East Stroudsburg University and four-year letter winner at defensive back from 1994-97. Under Chadd's coaching, ESU has had nine players named All-PSAC East since 2014.
Chadd arrived at ESU after five seasons as defensive coordinator and academic coordinator at William Paterson University from 2008-12, where he also coached the linebackers and defensive backs.
An interesting fact is that Chadd was also a member of ESU’s track program and set a school record in the 100m dash (10.55) which stood from until 2009.
Chadd is also the founder of First and Goal Sports, which was launched with the goal of developing a great educational system for all athletes. First and Goal Sports started with a focus on football instruction and has expanded to 1 on 1 speed, conditioning, and strength training by highly qualified coaching. Over 25years ago, Maxie “Tony “Sands started a high tech Speed Training Program that has evolved into an elite training center, with state-of-the-art equipment. Tony levergaed his degree in Exercise Fitness to develop a powerful program that provides proper sport, fitness and high tech strength, speed, conditioning, agility, balance, coordination, resistance training, running mechanics, vertical leap, and sport specific drills. Tony, an elite athlete himself, has worked with several high profile clients from the NFL, college, and high school. We are fortunate to have Tony head our training programPlaymakersayamkers Academy.
Tony's athletic skills led to receiving a scholarship to attend the University of Kansas. Tony became one of the all-time great players in Kansas football history. His on-the-field accomplishments include Freshman All-American Team Sophomore leading rusher (1109 yds) Senior John Deer Player of the Year Two NCAA records (396 yds and 58 carries) in a single game. He also played a short time with the Arizona Cardinals.
